About Me
Born and raised in Linz, I moved to Vienna in 1996 to study political science and Japanese studies. After graduating, I was honored to be appointed lecturer in German at Tokyo Gakugei University.
Following two enriching years in Japan, I returned to Europe and spent three years in Scotland — first in the Shetland Islands, and later completing a Master’s degree in International Accounting at the University of Stirling.
After my time in Scotland, I began working in tourism, a field that allowed me to combine my professional life with my passion for travel and cultural exploration. I spent extended periods in Hawaii, studying Hula and deepening my understanding of Hawaiian history. I have also walked the Camino de Santiago to Santiago de Compostela twice, and explored regions closer to home in Central Europe — visiting places connected to the history of the Habsburg Empire, including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania.
For the past ten years, I have worked as a tour guide in Vienna. I greatly enjoy sharing stories and bringing “my” history — the history of Austria and the Habsburg Empire, which is so closely intertwined with my own family background — to life for my English-speaking guests
